Summer

Quite simply its nature's party,

all things vibrant and moving,

devoid of barriers.

Full color now,

and may birds sing sweet tunes,

caressing our ears

as warm breezes fill our souls.

Warm rain falls,

as thunder storms punctuate.

The sun emerges confidently,

content only to be center-stage.

Night comes late and short,

an also-ran in nature's grand design.
